TREAD LIGHTLY! LAUNCHES TRAVELING EDUCATION UNIT

TREAD LIGHTLY! launched its newest educational platform — a 20- foot trailer packed with informative materials, raffle prizes and knowledgeable staff. Called Tread Lightly! on the Road to Adventure, it will be at major motorized sporting events and trailheads throughout the year. It’s to educate adults who drive ATVs, dirt bikes, 4WDs, snowmobiles, personal watercrafts, sand buggies and mountain bikes. “This traveling education unit has an eye-catching design being pulled with a new H2,” said Lori McCullough, Tread Lightly!’s executive director. “At a time when many off-road trails and areas are being threatened with closures, I think this tool will help draw the right crowds for some essential outdoor ethics education — a key element in keeping recreation areas open and healthy.” The program is made possible through American Petroleum Institute, Hummer, Polaris Industries, Ramsey Winch, Cabela’s, Advanstar Communications and the BLM.
