Brad’s A Sworn ORA Lifer

I want to start this letter by saying that you publish a great off-road magazine, and every month I find tips and tricks that help me in my quest to continually upgrade my ride. It’s a 1999 4WD Tahoe that I bought about a year ago with around 40,000 miles on it. Currently, I have gone with the “less is more” philosophy on the outside, and have kept it pretty simple. The wheels are 17x10 OZ off road rims and they are wrapped in BFG All-Terrains. I added the Bushwhacker fender flares, and had a few body parts painted to match. I have managed to clean up the front end a little bit as well, by adding a billet grille, clear corners, and an HID headlight kit. Under the hood, I have added a Power Programmer, K&N’s air filter system, and a PowerAid throttle body spacer. To complete it all, I have a complete exhaust system sitting in the garage waiting on install. Thanks so much for the great publication, and I just wanted to let you know that you have a subscriber for life.

Hatless and addicted to ORA

I would like to start off by saying y’all publish one hell of a magazine. I read each issue three to four times. I find myself impatiently waiting for the next month’s issue. I guess you could say your magazine is becoming an addiction. Please keep up the great work.

I own a 2000 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner TRD with a 3.4L V-6 and a 3-inch suspension lift. Man, I take this truck off-roading as much as possible. I belong to an off-road organization named Tacoma Territory Off-Roaders Association (TTORA). I’m a member of the Texas Chapter www.txttora.com http://www.txttora.com. We are always adding parts to our trucks, and we do our own maintenance. What better way to get to know your truck inside and out. Of course we have spent our share of time at the 4 Wheel Parts counter. It’s like Christmas morning every time I set foot in that store. Owning a 2-wheel drive hasn’t slowed me down at all when it comes to off-roading. My Tacoma has a lot of heart. Yes, it does have some limitations, but I will take care of that in the near future when I convert my truck into a 4WD. That means more time well spent at 4 Wheel Parts. Guys and gals, thanks for giving the off-roaders a great store to shop at and one hell of a magazine to read. HATS OFF TO YOU !!!

Queen Molly’s Mud Machine

My name is Molly Brege, from Olivet, Michigan. My boyfriend bought me a $500 bogger (1990 S-10 Blazer, 4x4) for Valentine’s Day. That following weekend I took a grinder to it. I cut off all the rust and bad spots (which was almost the whole passenger side). Patched it up with sheet metal and fiberglass bondo, I am now the “Bondo Queen.” If only I had a before picture, it was unreal. Bought a 3” body lift and 31x11.50x15 Super Swamper LTBs (Great Tires) from 4 Wheel Parts. After some modifying and some help from friends, it was done. Had a custom color (lavender) paint job, thanks Dad. I also had a personal license plate made, now it has become the nickname for it, MUD. MUD rips through the pits from being so light and the tires just throw the mud. It looks so good in the mud and it sounds good too, with Flowmaster 2 1/2 inch exhaust. I always see pictures of the guys’ trucks in the magazine, I thought I would let everyone know, girls can bog too!

Bradd’s Multi-Career Power Wagon

This is my 1952 Dodge M-37 3/4-ton Power Wagon. It was a weapons carrier from 1952 till 1974 for the U.S. Army, and then a Forestry Fire truck till 2001. I bought it in 2001 and changed it from 24 volt to 12 and replaced the 6 cylinder with a crate Chevy 350. I have spent the last three years turning it into a daily driver. It is my pride and joy. I hope you enjoy the photo.
